ADVANCE VOTE
(Sections 35, 46, 53 & 74) – Local Authorities Election Act
LOCAL JURISDICTION: Saddle Hills County, Province of Alberta
Notice is hereby given that an election will be held for the filling of
the following offices:
OFFICE # OF VACANCIES WARDS
Councillor 1 Ward 2
Councillor 1 Ward 4
Councillor 1 Ward 6
Councillor 1 Ward 7
An Advance Vote will take place on: Friday, October 13, 2017
Between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
The advance voting station will be located at the Saddle Hills
County Administration Building, 25 kms west of the Town of Spirit
River, Alberta at the Junction of Hwy 49 and Hwy 725.
In order to vote, you must produce identification for inspection. The
identification must be one or more of:
• Operator/Driver’s license
• Government photo identification card (for non-drivers)
• Bank/credit card statement or personal cheque
• Correspondence issued by a school, college or university
• Government cheque or cheque stub
• Income/property assessment notice
• Insurance policy or coverage card
• Letter from a public curator, public guardian or public trustee
• Pension Plan statement of benefits, contributions or participation
• Residential lease or mortgage statement
• Statements of government benefits: e.g. Employment insurance,
old-age security, social assistance, disability support or child tax
benefit
• Utility bill: e.g. telephone, public utilities commission, television,
hydro, gas or water
• Vehicle ownership registration or insurance certificate
• Attestation of Residence issued by the authorized representative
(landlord) of a commercial property management company
• Attestation of Residence issued by the authorized representative
of a post-secondary institution
• Attestation of Identity and Residence issued by the authorized
representative of shelter or soup kitchen
• Attestation of Identity and Residence issued by the authorized
representative of a supportive living facility or treatment centre
As required by section 53 of the Local Authorities Election Act.
