Saddle Hills County currently has two Area Structure Plans (ASP). Both are in the process of being updated and a third ASP is intended to be created for the lands at the County Complex site and surrounding area.
For more information regarding ASP updates please click here.
An ASP is a statutory planning document that provides a detailed framework for the future subdivision and development of an area of land. It will address land uses, sequence of development, population density, and the location of major transportation routes and public utilities. An ASP may contain other matters Council considers necessary.
An ASP is adopted by bylaw and a public hearing is required before it can be passed.
