The Saddle Hills County Municipal Development Plan (MDP) is a planning policy document that sets out the policies for guiding growth and development in the County and informs residents and developers of the County’s long range land use strategy. It is the foundation for the preparation of more detailed plans and is used in conjunction with the County’s Land Use Bylaw when reviewing applications for development, subdivision or rezoning.
An MDP is adopted by bylaw and public hearing is held before it can be passed.
