Pesticide Container Disposal

Saddle Hills County participates in the provincial pesticide container recycling program. Ratepayers may drop off empty, triple-rinsed and punctured pesticide containers at the Blueberry Mountain and Bonanza transfer stations. These containers are shredded annually and recycled. This program keeps many tons of plastic waste out of landfills each year and helps prevent environmental damage from pesticide movement into soil and water..
