Prairie Shelterbelt Program
Apply Before March 15
In May of each year, the PFRA Shelterbelt program delivers free shelterbelt trees to landowners with 5 acres or more who complete an application before March 15. Shelterbelts help control snow drifting, provide cover and forage for wildlife and livestock, buffer riparian areas, and provide windbreaks for farmyards and fields.
