The site, a quarter section owned by The Province of Alberta,
is located north of Silver Valley on the south bank of the Peace River
at the confluence of the Sneddon Creek and the Peace River.
Facilities and Services
- Boat Launch - The site currently
offers a boating access into the Peace River. This site is at the confluence
of the Peace River and Sneddon Creek.
- Campsites
- There is approximately twenty (20) overnight stalls complete with fire
pits, camping area / parking area and picnic tables.
- Day Use Area
- A picnic area, is currently located between the access road and the
steep banks of the Peace River. This area is proposed for day use activities
only.
- Shelter Facilities - The site
currently offers a sheltered group gathering area This shelter offers
a covered fire pit area, washroom facilities and shower facilities
Hilltop Lake Campsite
Facilities and Services:
- Campsite – there are approximately 10 overnight stalls complete with fire pits, camping area, parking and picnic tables.
- Day Use Area – there are picnic tables just before the playground area and horseshoe pit. This area is for day use activities only.
- Shelter Facilities – The site currently offers a sheltered group gathering area. This shelter offers picnic tables with an exterior fire pit nearby.
- Boating – the lake offers a sandy beach area for swimming. Canoes and non motorized boats are authorized for use on the calm waters.
Hilltop Lake offers:
- Hand water pump (non-potable water source)
- Outdoor washroom facilities
- No user fees for camping
- Free fire wood
