Controlled Burn Permits

From November 1, 2018 to February 28, 2019, Fire Permits are not required in the Forest Protection Area. During that time we will take Controlled Burn Notifications for all areas of the County, including the Forest Protection Area. The County will also be responsible for Fire Works Permits in all areas of the County. To download a fillable Controlled Burn Notification please click here.

Bonanza - Bay Tree Water Supply Line Project Update
Construction on the main water supply line from Bonanza to Bay Tree is nearing completion. (Click here)

Drilling in BonanzaThe supply line, once complete, will allow residents along the line to tap into it. Residents hoping to tap into the line in order to access potable water delivered to their residence should get in touch with the County at 780-864-3760 or by email at admin@saddlehills.ab.ca.


Possible future expansion of the rural potable water system is under consideration. For more information and to view maps of the areas under consideration simply click here. Please contact the County office (780-864-3760) to obtain a copy of the Rural Water Servicing Policy & Agreement. 

There is no financial contribution required at the time of sign up.

2018 Overland Flooding Damages

If you live in Saddle Hills County, and your home, business or property suffered flood damage in the spring of 2018 you may be eligible to receive Disaster Recovery Program Funding.

OnlineIf you were unable to attend the County Complex on November 7, 2018 to speak with a case manager, you can submit your application online by going to the Alberta Government's Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) site. Simply click here to apply online.

The deadline to apply is January 2,2019
