Garbage and Recycling Do's and Don'ts

Saddle Hills County operates a series of Transfer Stations and Collection Sites throughout the County. Each of our Transfer Stations has collection bins outside of the gates to accommodate residents who cannot visit the Transfer Station during its regular operating hours. All of our Collection Bins and Sites are available 24-7.

We do our best to keep our Transfer Stations and Collection Sites as clean and safe as possible. In order to accomplish this, we ask that those who use our Transfer Stations and Collection Sites help us to keep them clean and safe by not dumping inappropriate materials at Collection Sites or household waste outside of bins that are full or overflowing.

We've published what household waste is accepted at out Transfer Stations as well as the locations of each of our Transfer Stations and our hours of operation as well as our Collection Site locations (open 24/7).

All of the details of our Recycling Program are published and both our collections sites and transfer stations  operate using 6-yard blue recycling bins. .

If none of the options in Saddle Hills County will work for you, Saddle Hill County residents may dispose of their waste at Clairmont Landfill located in the County of Grande Prairie for free through a Landfill Tag system. In order to obtain a tag, you must first register with the Saddle Hills County. Please call the County at 780-864-3760 or email us.
