Hilltop Lake Campground Now Open.

Saddle Hills County is pleased to announce that Hilltop Lake Campground is now open for the season.

The campground, on the south side of the County, 
approximately 10 overnight stalls complete with fire pits, camping area, parking and picnic tables.

In addition there are picnic tables just before the playground area and horseshoe pit. This area is for day use activities only.

Shelter Facilities – The site currently offers a sheltered group gathering area. This shelter offers picnic tables with an exterior fire pit nearby.

Boating – The lake offers a sandy beach area for swimming. Canoes and non-motorized boats are authorized for use on the calm waters.

Hilltop Lake also offers:

  • Hand water pump (non-potable water source)
  • Outdoor washroom facilities
  • No user fees for camping
  • Free fire wood

Please Note:

Alberta has introduced a new fine of $287 for leaving a campfire unattended. Beginning this week, OHV users riding without CSA-approved helmets can be fined up to $155.

As well; anyone driving, riding on or in, or being towed by an off-highway vehicle (OHV) will need an approved helmet. Those vehicles include dirt bikes, motorcycles, mini bikes, all-terrain vehicles, utility terrain vehicles, miniature motor vehicles, amphibious vehicles, and snow vehicles including snowmobiles and snow bikes. Bill 36 passed into law on Dec. 6, 2016, and [took] effect on Monday.
