Your Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioners are independent health professionals who provide essential healthcare services, working in collaboration with their patients and other healthcare providers to provide patient-centered care.

The services compliment those provided by a family physician, including being able to order x-rays and blood work, perform procedures such as stitches, prescribe medications, among other things.

If you are unsure if our Nurse Practitioner can help with your needs, please reach out and we would be happy to provide more information.

Nurse Practitioner

Courtney Sideroff

Saddle Hills County is pleased to announce that a Nurse Practitioner has been hired to fill in for Nurse Practitioner Palvi Sharma during her maternity leave, with Courtney Sideroff joining the team on November 26, 2025.
Courtney brings many years of experience, including working in emergency rooms. She recently returned to school to become a Nurse Practitioner (NP), driven by her desire to make a stronger impact in rural healthcare through preventive care and chronic disease management.
Originally from Fairview, Courtney now lives in Saddle Hills County with her husband. She is passionate about rural living and enjoys spending time outdoors—whether gardening, hiking, quadding or working around the acreage.
Courtney looks forward to working collaboratively with residents, families, and local partners, and to contributing to a healthier Saddle Hills County.

I am excited to be part of increasing access to inclusive, compassionate, and comprehensive primary care services in the County. I practice person-centered care that respects every individual's backgrounds and needs.

Nurse Practitioner

Palvi Sharma

Palvi is currently on maternity leave, returning in 2027.
Registered Nurse Practitioner, Palvi started working for Saddle Hills County in August, 2023, and has been critical in setting up the new Saddle Hills County Health Clinic.
Born and raised in India, Palvi moved to Canada in 2011. She completed her BSc in Nursing in India, practicing as a registered nurse and clinical educator for university students, before pursuing her interest in Critical Care Nursing and graduating from Conestoga College, in Kitchener, ON. While working in St. John Regional Hospital in New Brunswick as a charge Registered Nurse, she then completed her MSc in Nursing in the Nurse Practitioner Stream at the University of New Brunswick.
Throughout graduate school, she found her passion for nursing continued to drive her to provide the best possible care to her patients as she transitioned to the role of Nurse Practitioner, specifically caring for senior patients.
She is currently registered to practice in Alberta, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia as a Nurse Practitioner, and is an active member of the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta and the Nurse Practitioner Association of Alberta. In her professional career, she has worked primarily in Acute Care and Long-Term Care settings and actively participated in the New Brunswick Healthy Seniors Project, which is aimed at helping to minimize hospital admissions and better support seniors in the community.

My ultimate goal in providing care is to help patients have better experiences and outcomes by employing a holistic approach that recognizes the significance of their social and psychological needs.

She now lives Spirit River with her husband Sumit, who works as a computer engineer. They enjoy cooking and dancing in their spare time, and love weekend getaways and travelling.
