Geocaching

Saddle Hills County is an official Geocaching participant. We have hidden caches, designed by local artisans, at various locations around the County for you to explore.

What is Geocaching?

Geocaching is essentially the world's largest treasure hunt. Download the Geocaching app to get started today. Once downloaded, you will be able to see all of the caches available to find. Simply navigate to your destination using the location and GPS coordinates.

Some caches will require you to solve a puzzle or complete a task to open them, and some will be simply hidden for you to find.

Once located, sign the logbook inside. Some caches will also have goodies for you to collect, and lots of Geocachers trade trinkets or tokens inside caches, carrying them on to their next adventure.

You can log all your finds in the Geocaching app and leave comments for the hider of future finders. Keep on exploring to watch your count increase.

Make sure that once you've finished logging your find that you put the cache back where you found it for the next person.

Note: Since some of our caches are near campgrounds, please be mindful of the privacy of our campers.

Happy Hunting!
