$3,000 Scholarship Opportunity for Post-Secondary Students

The Professional Vegetation Managers Association (PVMA) has announced that applications are now open for the Keith Sanftlenben Memorial Scholarship.

The $3,000 scholarship opportunity is open to all students enrolled in post-secondary studies. Keith Sanftleben was an active member of the PVMA for many years and had a passion for helping other people and communities. This scholarship has been set up to honour his memory and to highlight students that have an interest in making a positive impact on the community and others.

In addition to the scholarship, the winner will receive a complementary admission and paid accommodations to PVMA’s Annual Spring Seminar.

  • To be eligible, applicants must:
    Be enrolled for post-secondary study at an Alberta government approved provincial, national, or international institution or program.
    Prepare a 1 to 2-page written essay detailing how the student has or plans to improve human welfare, make a difference, and have a positive impact on community and others.
    Never previously been awarded the Keith Sanftleben Memorial Scholarship.

Preference will be given to those enrolled in a biology, agriculture, environmental studies, forestry, or other program related to natural sciences and/or work experience in industrial vegetation management.
