Canola Fields Needed for Peace Region Canola Survey

Image of Canola Field

The Beaverlodge Research Farm IPM Team needs your help this summer!

Since 2003, their annual canola survey has collected valuable data on insect pests and the introduction of the cabbage seedpod weevil, across the Peace Region.

To ensure this valuable research continues they need to access 100-220 commercial canola fields, in early-mid flower stages. Ideally the fields are spaced approximately 10km apart.

If you are interested in participating please complete a Permission to Enter - Land Access Form and email this to shelby.dufton@agr.gc.ca. For more information call (780) 882-9478). Deadline for completion is June 15, 2023.

An example of how to complete the form can be found by clicking here.
