New Veterinary Innovation Grant Program

Saddle Hills County's Agricultural Services Board have launched a new Veterinary Innovation Grant Application to eligible applicants to improve access to veterinary care for Saddle Hills County producers.

Applications are now being accepted and should be submitted no later than July 31, 2024, for projects taking place next year. 

The aim of the grant is to provide access to vital veterinary care to County residents, and as such priority will be given to projects that enhance veterinary services available to Saddle Hills County producers and applicants operating a veterinary practice within the boundaries of Saddle Hills County.

To be eligible for the grant, applicants must: 

  • Be a licensed veterinarian or veterinary technologist;
  • Operate or be employed at a clinic that primarily provides services to Saddle Hills County residents; and
  • Operate or be employed at a clinic that primarily focuses on large animal (food animal) medicine.

A variety of projects will be considered under the grant, and include:

  • New facilities within the boundaries of Saddle Hills County to enhance veterinary services for Saddle Hills County producers.
  • Innovative and emerging veterinary medicine practices.
  • Diagnostic Telemedicine Services.
  • Continuing education and new skills training

Applications will be reviewed, and successful candidates chosen, by the Agricultural Service Board (ASB).
