Pleasant View Lodge - Opening May 2024

Pleasantview Lodge, an assisted living facility for seniors in Spirit River, is due to open in May 2024.

Amenities

Amenities included at the lodge are:

• Large game room/lounge for social events, such as happy hour, movie nights, and billiards
• Fitness room with equipment for physiotherapy and light exercise
• Large multi-purpose/craft room for additional social events
• Family kitchen for private functions
• Meeting spaces
• Resident laundry room
• Quiet living room spaces for residents

Levels of Care

The lodge will provide a variety of levels of care, depending on the needs of residents. These types of care include:

SL2 - Regular lodge living, suitable for residents who may need some assistance in areas such as dressing, bathing, and medical care, or for those looking for a social environment with meals provided.

DSL4 - Supportive living that is suitable for residents who have more complex needs that are predictable and can be safely managed with onsite professional care, LPN level, and under the direction of a case manager.

DSL4D - Supportive living suitable for residents with moderate to severe dementia, with locked wards to prevent unsafe wandering.

Unit Information

The lodge will consist of 40 lodge units and 52 supportive living units. The lodge units will be located on the third floor, with 26 DSL4 supportive living units on the second floor, and 26 DSL4D units on the first floor. 

Placements for DSL4 and DSL4D will be determined by Alberta Health Services.

There will also be a gated back courtyard, to support a safe outdoor environment for all residents to enjoy.
