Program & Activity Grants Awarded!
Saddle Hills County has announced the award of grants to several local applicants as part of its Program and Activity Grants initiative. The grant has three intake dates per year, with this being the second intake for 2025.
The program seeks to empower residents and organizations with innovative program ideas. As part of this cycle, Council awarded a total of $27,900 to eight recipients, across various sectors.
The projects include a mix of educational programs, community events, youth outreach, and workshops.
Among the recipients are:

Cotillion Butte Recreation Association, receiving $3,000 for entertainment at a Cotillion Park event.

Dawson Creek Triathlon Association, receiving $1,000 for their annual Triathlon.

Friends of Rycroft School Society, receiving $5,000 to provide hot lunches and snack programs to students

Friends of the South Peace Society, receiving $7,500 to support upcoming events.
- Happy Valley Ag and Recreation Club, receiving $6,200 to support upcoming events in the County.

Spirit Arts Dance Society, receiving $2,000 to support attendance at a dance workshop in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Spirit River Minor Hockey Association, receiving $3,000 for youth to participate in "Girls Anyone Can Play Day".
- United Way Alberta Northwest, receiving $2,000 to provide school supplies to students in need.
