2026 Seasonal Trappers Request
Saddle Hills County is compiling a list of experienced trappers holding a valid trapper’s licence to assist with pest removal prior to County staff clearing obstructions from waterways and culverts. Services will be required on an as-needed basis.
Work will primarily consist of trapping and removing beaver within municipal boundaries as directed by County staff in a manner that protects Saddle Hills County infrastructure. Contractors may be required to consult with landowners when activities take place on private property and must be available throughout the April to October service period. Travel to and from sites will be required using the contractor’s personal vehicle.
Contractors must supply all tools and equipment necessary to perform the work and it is preferred that they have their own WCB insurance.
Interested contractors are asked to submit the following information in their quote:
- Names of person(s) dedicated to providing the service
- Detailed breakdown of all associated costs, including hourly or daily rates, vehicle expenses, and equipment costs
- Methodology and work plan outlining how the services will be delivered efficiently and in accordance with the stated duties and responsibilities
- WCB certification (if applicable)
- Have your own COR safety program or follow Saddle Hills County's Safe Operating Procedures
Preference will be given to those holding a valid P.A.L certificate.
