ABP Traceability Discussion

Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) is hosting a dedicated traceability session on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 1:30-4:30 p.m., at the Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel

This session is designed to provide Alberta cattle producers with dedicated time to share their perspectives and participate in open discussion as conversations around traceability continue to evolve. Representatives from the Government of Alberta and the Office of the Chief Provincial Veterinarian will be in attendance, along with Alberta Beef Producers, the Canadian Cattle Association, the Canadian Cattle Identification Agency, and Livestock Identification Services.

As ABP’s Annual General Meeting follows a formal agenda with limited time for input, this Town Hall has been scheduled in advance of the AGM to allow for more in-depth dialogue. The session builds on discussions already taking place across the province and offers another opportunity for producers who were unable to attend earlier meetings to participate.

Alberta cattle producers are invited to attend either in person or virtually. Registration is required.
