Agricultural Moisture Update - July 2
The Moisture Situation Update for July 2, 2026, indicates that precipitation over the past two weeks has improved soil moisture conditions across much of the province, with the greatest gains occurring in central, northeastern, and Peace Region agricultural areas. While recent rainfall has provided much-needed relief and improved crop and pasture conditions in many locations, moisture levels remain variable, and some areas continue to experience below-normal soil moisture reserves. With the growing season entering a critical period, additional timely rainfall will be important to support crop development, replenish soil moisture, and improve long-term water supplies.
