AgriStability Deadline for 2025

Due to the pressures and uncertainties currently facing the agricultural sector, federal, provincial, and territorial governments have agreed to extend the AgriStability program deadline for 2025 from April 30 to July 1, 2025.

This extension allows producers additional time to consider their needs and manage the impact of current challenges, such as production loss, increased costs, and changing market conditions. Farmers experiencing losses are encouraged to apply for interim payments under AgriStability for more immediate support.

The AgriStability program is one of the business risk management programs that governments offer to help producers manage risks, alongside the AgriInvest, AgriInsurance, and AgriRecovery programs. Under the AgriStability program, protection is offered against large declines that threaten the viability of a farm. Allowable income includes the proceeds from agricultural commodity sales and the proceeds from production insurance. Allowable expenses include commodity purchases, along with direct input costs incurred in the farming operation.
