Alberta's Fall Vaccination Program

The Government of Alberta is rolling out their fall vaccination program, beginning in October.

The new plan will be delivered in two phases. Phase 1 will provide free vaccines to eligible Albertans, while Phase 2 will make vaccines available to everyone else for an administration fee of $100 per dose.

Those eligible for free COVID-19 vaccines, include:

  • all residents of continuing care homes and seniors supportive living accommodations.
  • home care clients.
  • individuals six months of age and older with underlying medical conditions and compromised immune systems, as recommended by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI).
  • health care workers.
  • individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • individuals 65 and older receiving the Alberta Seniors Benefit.
  • health care workers.

All Albertans can use the Alberta Vaccine Booking System to register for COVID-19 immunizations, until September 30, 2025. Those who pre-order in this way, will receive a text or email notification in October to confirm eligibility and book their appointment. Those who do not pre-order may still book an appointment once vaccines become available in October.

You are encouraged to speak to your primary provider to determine the best immunization plan for your needs.
