CFIA Update
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced it will not proceed at this time with proposed cattle movement reporting requirements under its revised livestock traceability regulations.
According to the CFIA, updated traceability requirements for other livestock species will continue to progress, while proposed cattle and bison movement reporting requirements will not proceed as the agency continues discussions with industry.
