Cougar Sighting - July 9, 2026

Another cougar sighting was reported in the Moonshine Lake Day Use Area on the evening of July 8.

Alberta Fish and Wildlife has been notified and is aware of the sighting. 

For your safety, the public is strongly advised to avoid the day use trails until further notice. If you are in the area, avoid the day use area, remain alert, keep children and pets close, and carry bear spray.
