Emergency Preparedness Week
May 4-10, 2025 is Emergency Preparedness Week! Emergency Preparedness Week is an annual, nationwide event to encourage Canadians to become better prepared for emergencies.
Throughout the week we will be sharing tips, tricks, and resources to ensure you are prepared when faced with an emergency situation.
Get ready for emergencies and disasters by taking simple steps now. To be prepared, you need to know what to do, where to go, and have enough supplies for a week or more. Supplies include food, water, medications, and important documents, and should also include supplies for your pets as well.
Preparing in advance can keep you safe and comfortable, and help you get back to your normal life and work more quickly. It also helps others as it allows emergency responders to focus on helping those who need it the most.
