Firefighters’ National Memorial Day

Flags at Saddle Hills County firehalls and County buildings will be lowered to half-mast on Sunday, September 13, in recognition of Firefighters’ National Memorial Day.

Observed across Canada on the second Sunday in September, the day honours firefighters who have lost their lives or been injured in the line of duty and recognizes the courage and commitment of firefighters who serve communities across the country.

Flags will remain at half-mast from sunrise to sunset as a mark of respect and remembrance.
