International Trails Day in Alberta June 6, 2026
Did you know?
The Blueberry Mountain Military History and Community Walk honours the legacy of local resident Col. James Riley Stone, who established the Military Police Fund for Blind Children, along with 42 other veterans from the area who served in the Boer War, WWI, WWII, and the Korean War.
Located in the heart of Blueberry Mountain, the trail winds through the historic old town site, sharing stories of the buildings and people that shaped the community. The walk begins at the Military History Display Building at Blueberry Mountain Hall and ends at the Munro Presbyterian Church. Along the way, nine storyboards highlight local history, resilience, and remembrance.
