July Peace Officer Report

Throughout July, the Peace Officer conducted patrols and enforcement activities across Saddle Hills County, with increased attention to areas where traffic and safety concerns had been reported. A total of 18 shifts (153 hours) were worked, including patrols, investigations, training, administrative duties, and community engagement.

Traffic enforcement remained a priority, with 10 traffic stops conducted for speeding and other traffic offences. Most speeding violations occurred on roads posted at 100 km/h, with drivers travelling an average of 29 km/h over the speed limit, and speeds ranging from 19 km/h to 50 km/h above the posted limit. One driver was also found to be operating without valid vehicle registration.

In addition to traffic enforcement, the Peace Officer responded to public concerns, conducted bylaw and criminal investigations involving theft and property damage, and participated in community events, including the Bonanza Mud Bog Parade.

The Peace Officer's continued presence on County roads and in local communities helps improve road safety, respond to resident concerns, and support a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in Saddle Hills County.
