Peace Officer April 2026 Report
For the month of April, the focus remained on areas identified by County staff and residents, along with monitoring gravel roads during the County-issued Road Ban.
Peace Officer Olson served as a judge at Bonanza’s first Science Fair, where students demonstrated strong effort and creativity in their projects.
Enforcement activities included 11 traffic stops for speeding:
• 9 vehicles exceeding the 100 km/h limit
• 1 vehicle exceeding the 80 km/h limit
• 1 vehicle exceeding the 50 km/h limit
Of these stops, 3 drivers failed to provide valid proof of insurance and 1 failed to provide proof of registration. The average speed recorded was 25 km/h over the posted limit, with speeds ranging from 19 km/h to 38 km/h over.
Monitoring of commercial vehicles for Road Ban compliance remained in effect throughout the month.
