Peace Officer Report- June 2026

During June, Peace Officer Wayne Olson conducted patrols Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., with continued focus on areas identified through reports from County staff and residents.

Traffic safety remained the primary priority throughout the month. Nine drivers were stopped for speeding, with recorded speeds averaging 26 km/h over the posted speed limit and ranging from 20 to 40 km/h over. One traffic stop also resulted in enforcement for failing to produce valid vehicle registration.

In addition to traffic enforcement, Peace Officer Olson investigated two bylaw matters and three criminal files involving theft and property damage. Public reports of traffic concerns continued throughout the month, reinforcing the importance of targeted patrols and visible enforcement in areas of concern.

The County encourages residents to continue reporting traffic safety concerns to help identify areas where enforcement is needed most.
