Prairie Pest Monitoring Network

At this point in the growing season, producers should continue monitoring crops for bertha armyworm and diamondback moth, particularly in brassica oilseed crops. Grasshoppers are now reaching the adult and egg-laying stages, with the annual Prairie-wide grasshopper survey taking place in August. Wheat midge and wheat stem sawfly surveys will begin after harvest. Producers are also reminded to consider pre-harvest intervals as harvest approaches. Read more HERE
