Project Aurora at Work

Saddle Hills County has partnered with Canadian Fiber Optics Corp., Northern Lights Fiber, the Government of Alberta, and the Government of Canada to bring high-speed fibre internet to homes and businesses across the County. With no-cost hook-ups for eligible properties, Project Aurora is helping make Saddle Hills County the most connected rural municipality in Canada.

As construction continues, residents can expect to see survey crews, directional drilling equipment, utility locates, and fibre installation taking place in various areas. This work is an important step toward expanding reliable, high-speed internet access throughout the County.
Motorists are reminded to slow down, watch for workers and equipment, and obey all posted construction signage. A few extra moments of caution help keep everyone safe.
