Weed Inspectors Begin Work

To help ensure high quality crops and help control the spread of pests, Saddle Hills County Weed Inspectors carry out regular annual inspections. They look for noxious and prohibited noxious weeds listed under the Weed Control Act, as well as nuisance and pest species listed under the Agricultural Pests Act.
If you see a County staff member in your field in the coming months, they are there to help. Weed Inspectors may park vehicles in field approaches but will never drive onto your land, and they follow strict biosecurity protocols to help prevent disease spread.
If you have any questions or concerns about weed inspections or other Ag Services programs, please email ag@saddlehills.ab.ca or call (780) 864-3760.
