The governments of Alberta and Canada are celebrating the start of construction on a new $24.8-million housing project that will provide needed homes for seniors with a range of care needs in Spirit River.

Saddle Hills County is excited to announce that we will be hosting the Volunteer Appreciation BBQ for 2022.

Saddle Hills County has added a new feature to its Maps page on the County website. Beginning May 26, 2022, users of County maps can now take advantage of the new Municite Interactive Map.

At their regular meeting on May 24, 2022 Saddle Hills County Council declared June 6 -12 as Senmiors' Week.

As a community, Saddle Hills County has managed to raise more than $51,000 for the citizens of the Ukraine. Payment was sent this week to the Canada-Ukraine foundation in support of the embattled citizens of the Eastern European nation which has been at war since February.

Saddle Hills County public works professionals focus on infrastructure, facilities and services that are of vital importance to sustainable and resilient communities and to the public health, high quality of life and well-being of the people of the County.

The Spring 2022 edition of County Living Magazine has been. Residents should recieve it in their mail boxes this week. Hard copies will be delivered to the General Stores or you can pick up a hard copy at the County office.

We had a great turnout for the auction.  The students wanted to do something to help out in some way for the war that is happening in Ukraine. 

Alberta has a strong connection to the citizens of Ukraine. Many of our families and friends come from this region of Europe and the current situation motivates us to see how we can provide assistance to those who have been displaced and have fled their homeland.
