2025 Municipal Election: Register to Vote

NEW for 2025

Voters are required to register to vote in Municipal Elections, as per proposed changes to the Local Authorities Election Act (Bill 20 – Municipal Affairs Statutes Amendment Act, 2024).  

To save you time on Election Day and ensure the process runs as smoothly as possible, we encourage all voters to register in advance, at www.voterlink.ab.ca 

Whether registering for the first time, updating existing voter registration information, or checking to see if you are already registered to vote, the process should take less than five minutes.

In order to register, you will need an Alberta Driver's Licence or Alberta Identification Card for each individual registering or updating.
