Fire Advisory - August 11, 2025

Saddle Hills County has downgraded the Fire Restriction to a FIRE ADVISORY. A Fire Advisory is also in effect for the Grande Prairie Forest Area. 

Controlled burning in the Non-Forest Protection Area, including on privately-owned land, is limited to campfires, burning barrels, and hand-piled wood, two cubic metres or smaller.

Burn permits are still required and will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Large fuel burns will not be permitted at this time.

The Fire Advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve.

Ag Drone School - October 27-28, 2025

Join Saddle Hills County for Ag Drone School, a two day hands-on workshop, hosted by LandView Drones!

The course will be held at the Fourth Creek Hall, on October 27 and 28, 2025, from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

In Ag Drone School you will learn about safe flight, real farm use-cases, mapping basics and as well as receiving a Basic Certificate from Transport Canada. The cost to attend is $590.
