Election Day FAQs

With Election Day for the 2025 Municipal Elections now underway, we have compiled the answers to some commonly asked questions to help you cast your vote.

Where should I vote?

Voting Stations are be located at the following facilities:

Every Voting Station will open promptly at 10 a.m., and will remain open continuously until 8 p.m.

Eligible electors must vote at the designated Voting Station assigned to their ward. If you are unsure which station to vote at, please contact us at communications@saddlehills.ab.ca

What Identification do I need?

In order to vote in the 2025 Municipal Election, electors will be required to complete and sign the Elector Register. This could have been done in advance through Voterlink, or can be done on Election Day at your polling station.

Voters will also need to provide proof of identification and current residence.

The main forms of identification are a Driver's Licence or Alberta Identification Card. The identification produced must have the voter's name and address.

If you have a PO Box address listed on your photo ID, please also bring a second form of identification with your municipal address or legal land location listed.

Is there a vote in Ward 2?

No, there is no vote in either Ward 2 or Ward 6, as both candidates were acclaimed. Candidates are acclaimed when at the close of nominations, at 12 p.m. on Nomination Day, the number of candidates nominated is the same as the number required to be elected ie. one.

When will the winners be announced?

The unofficial results will be available as soon as possible after the vote closes, and will be posted on the Saddle Hills County website, mobile app, and social media pages. 

The official results will be available on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 12 p.m.
