Fire Advisory in Effect - October 3, 2025
Due to the cooler temperatures, Saddle Hills County has downgraded the Fire Restriction to a FIRE ADVISORY, as of October 3, 2025. The Fire Advisory is in effect for all areas outside of the Grande Prairie Forest Protection Area.
PROHIBITED
- Burning of brush piles or windrows.
- Fireworks and exploding targets on crown land.
ALLOWED WITH CAUTION
- Campfires in non-combustible manufactured firepits.
- Charcoal briquettes in approved barbeques.
- Portable propane firepits.
- Gas or propane stoves and barbeques.
- Catalytic or infrared style heaters,
- Wood fires in an enclosed facility or device which has a chimney with a spark arrestor.
- Burning barrels, at a minimum distance of 30m from structures and 6m from other combustible materials.
- Burning of hand-piled agricultural brush and wood debris, up to a maximum of 2 cubic meters.
- Off-Highway vehicles.
Under this advisory, new permits will be issued on a case-by-case basis and only for essential purposes.
This Fire Advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve.
