Fire Restriction in Saddle Hills County - September 19, 2025

As a result of higher temperatures and drying conditions, the Fire Danger Rating in Saddle Hills County has changed from HIGH to VERY HIGH.

As of May 1, 2025, the Fire Advisory in Saddle Hills County has been upgraded to a FIRE RESTRICTION. The County of Grande Prairie No. 1 and the Grande Prairie Forest Area also have Fire Restrictions in effect.

Controlled burning in the Non-Forest Protection Area, including on privately-owned land, is now limited to campfires and burning barrels. Large fuel burns will not be permitted at this time.

This FIRE RESTRICTION will remain in place until conditions improve.

Henderson Creek Bridge Temporary Closure

Please be advised that Saddle Hills County will be replacing the deck on the Henderson Creek bridge, north of Bay Tree, located at SE 23-79-13 W6.

The bridge will be closed from 8:00 a.m. on October 14, 2025 and re-open at 6:00 p.m. on October 16, 2025, with no traffic allowed to cross during this time. 

Please use alternative routes and watch out for construction equipment and crews in the area. We apologize for any inconvenience.
