Junior Agrarians - 4 Week Summer Program

Does your child have an interest in agriculture and the outdoors? Join the Peace Country Beef and Forage Association (PCBFA) for their first Junior Agrarians Program!

The program runs every Thursday in July, 2024 (4, 11, 18, and 25) and is for youth 12-15 years old. The cost is $50 per student, with a maximum of 10 students. 

Activities will include:

• Understanding where our food comes from
• Weeds, plants, and other invasive species
• Soil health and growing your own plants
• Riparian and water management
• Wildfire risks and emergency plans
• Dugout and farm safety
• Public speaking skills
• Understanding the synergy of agriculture and wildlife
• Animal health with Northwestern Polytechnic, and much more.
