2022 Peace River Brigade

Pre-registration is open for the Peace River Brigade, June 22 to 28, 2022. The pre-registration is to identify the number of people interested in doing the brigade this summer as either a team crew with access to their own boat or unattached paddlers without a boat looking to join a crew. Pre-registration and the follow up final registration are being done through the Canadian Voyager Brigade Society.

Participants will meet for an afternoon sign-in on July 22 at Cotillion Park along the Peace River in NW Alberta. We start paddling July 23 near the Alberta BC border. We finish paddling July 28 into the Town of Peace River, some 233 km later.

The brigade starts at the Clayhurst Bridge near the Alberta BC border and continues over 6 days of paddling to the Town of Peace River. People start arriving for the event on July 22 and we finish in the Town of Peace River on July 28. We are staying two nights at Cotillion Park, July 22 and 23.

Registration is currently ongoing but we expect to have about 90 to 100 people paddling 8 or 9 boats, including support crews and families. The theme for the brigade is “Passing the Paddle” as we are trying to have more young paddlers, indigenous and new people introduced to brigade events.

The links copied below are for Zone 4 which is managing the electronic registrations for CVBS. There is no cost for pre-registration. Once total number of paddlers and boats are confirmed and final budgets set, the payments will be due at final registration.

Please read the information included in the pre-registration process. It will answer many questions you may have about the brigade. If you have other questions you can email us at; singlis266@gmail.com
