Road Closure: Highway 677 - October 16, 2025

Please be advised that CN Rail will be undertaking work at the railway crossing located on Highway 677 in the Hamlet of Woking, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, beginning at 8 a.m. Highway 677 will be closed from the crossing, east to Highway 2, for approximately 24 hours. Local access will be provided for residents.

Please use alternative routes for the duration of the closure.

Due to the cooler temperatures, Saddle Hills County has downgraded the Fire Restriction to a FIRE ADVISORY, as of October 3, 2025. The Fire Advisory is in effect for all areas outside of the Grande Prairie Forest Protection Area.

This Fire Advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve.

Postal service is currently disrupted in Saddle Hills County due to the Canada Post Strike. This may affect ratepayers abilities to receive utility bills and other County correspondence in the mail.

During the strike, mail and parcels will not be delivered and no new items will be accepted until the disruption is over. Please note, that even during mail disruptions, ratepayers are still responsible for paying their utility bills and tax notices on time.
