Submit your Weed Management Plan to reap the Benefits

If you have received a Weed Notice for your land, we encourage you to complete a Weed Management Plan with Saddle Hills County's Agricultural Fieldman. This ensures that our Agricultural Services Department is aware of any steps being taken by landowners and renters in order to control invasive weeds on their property and avoids miscommunication. 

We know that many of the producers in our County are not always the landowner. Weed Management Plans have additional value for renters, as they allow our Agricultural Services Department to keep an accurate record and avoid unnecessary steps being taken. For example, if a renter registers their Weed Management Plan with the County, they will be contacted along with the landowner in the event a Weed Notice is issued. It also means that renters can be easily contacted should any weeds be discovered on their property, avoiding the need to go through the landowner or even issue a Weed Notice, in some instances.

You can complete and submit a Weed Management Plan online, complete the Fillable PDF and email it to ag@saddlehills.ab.ca, or visit our office during regular business hours to complete the form in person.
