Voter Requirements for the 2025 Municipal Election

Ready to vote in the upcoming 2025 Municipal Elections? Don't forget to bring ID!

To be eligible to vote in the 2025 Municipal Election, you must meet all of the following requirements:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a Canadian citizen
  • reside in Saddle Hills County

Electors will also be required to complete and sign the Elector Register, either in advance through Voterlink, or on Election Day, and provide proof of identification and current residence.

The main forms of identification are an Driver's Licence or Alberta Identification Card. The identification produced must have the voter's name and address.

If you have a PO Box address listed on your photo ID, please also bring a second form of identification with your municipal address or legal land location listed.

Accepted forms of identification include:

  • One piece of Government-issued photo ID, including your full name, current address, and photo.
  • Two pieces of ID, both containing your full name, and with one showing your current physical address.

If you are unable to produce the required identification, another registered elector in your voting area can vouch for you. For more information on accepted forms of identification, please visit Elections Alberta.

Eligible electors must vote at the designated Voting Station assigned to their ward. If you are unsure which station to vote at, please contact the Returning Officer, at jyanishewski@saddlehills.ab.ca
