Woking Fiber Construction Update

Northern Lights Fiber construction crews have been busy in the Central Peace Region, making a significant dent in construction work on the west side of the Hamlet of Woking, around Range Road 60.

Crews are 30% complete installing conduit, as shown in the map below. Green lines show the completed conduit work, with red lines outlining the planned work. Drops are expected to begin in June 2024.

Locates have been called throughout the area, so residents will be seeing lots of flags popping up. If you see these flags and the corresponding paint marks, please do not move them as they are essential to teams being able to carry out work safely and effectively.

Residents are encouraged to sign Fiber Access Agreements (FARs) to get the free hook up to their property as soon as possible. Signing a FAR does not obligate you to take any services with Northern Lights Fiber. By signing the agreement a member of the Northern Lights Fiber team will be in touch to discuss installing the hook-up at your property and can answer any additional questions you may have. While getting the hook-up now will not cost you anything, should you change your mind once construction work is complete in your area, charges may apply.

Members of the Community Outreach Team, including Yvonne and Alexis, will be in the area handing out pamphlets in the coming days and we encourage you to head over and chat. They're very friendly and knowledgeable (and Peace Region locals) and would be happy to sit down with you over a cup of coffee to discuss all your questions and concerns.

If you have any questions about fiber internet and Project Aurora, please head down to the Open House at the Woking Community Hall on May 7, from 4-7 p.m., or reach out to Northern Lights Fiber at 1-888-236-2947.
