Moonshine Lake

Moonshine Lake is a large provincial campground, open year round, only a short drive north of Highway 49. Hike or bike the trails, picnic on the beach, or enjoy swimming, or watersports on the lake. It is a prime fishing and boating location, with a boat launch and pier, and fish cleaning stations. The lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout, and is a beautiful spot for ice fishing in the colder months. During the winter, it is a common to spot cross country skiers and snowshoers on the trails.

Shelters, fire pits, and a playground are available year round, with wildlife hot spot Jack Bird Pond a short distance away. There is also a lifejacket loaner station available on-site for all of your protection needs.

The campground has 110 powered stalls, showers, washroom facilities, sewage disposal, and free firewood available for guests.

Sites can be reserved online through Alberta Parks, where you can also find further information on the park and it's amenities.
