    During the period from June 13 to June 20, 2023 (covered in the last report) large parts of the province from Calgary to Grande Prairie received much needed rain.

    Since June 13, significant rains have fallen across a wide area of the province, from roughly Calgary in the south, extending as far north as the Southern portions of the Peace Region (Map 1).

    ' A provincial state of emergency was declared on May 6 due to the number of wildfires in the province, and ended on June 3. The wildfire situation in the northern areas of the province remains serious.

    Credit Unions of Alberta has announced a new 'Women in Ag' Grant Program, offering two $10,000 grants to Alberta-based women who are currently working, or planning to work in, the agriculture industry to put towards their ag business' financial future.
