  • Moisture Update - July 17, 2024

    Precipitation has been quite hit and miss this week, ranging from areas that received over 20 mm to large areas that experienced no rain at all. The accompanying heat has put many crops under stress, particularly in those areas that have low soil moisture reserves or have remained dry over the last few weeks.

  • Ksituan Truck Fill Construction Notice

    Please be advised that the construction of a concrete sidewalk around the Ksituan Water Treatment Plant, will begin on Monday, July 22, 2024, and is anticipated to be completed by the end of the week. 
     
    During this time, the Jug Fill will be closed. We do expect service outages over the course of the project, but the Truck Fill will remain open unless otherwise posted. 

  • Calling Grain Producers!

    Grain producers in the Canadian Prairies are invited to participate in a University of Alberta research survey on the adoption of winter wheat and ultra-early seeding of spring wheat.

  • Blue Green Algae Health Advisory Issued for Moonshine Lake

    A Blue Green Algae Health Advisory has been issued by Alberta Health Services for Moonshine Lake. 

  • Be Prepared: Extreme Heat

    During heat waves, buildings with no indoor cooling systems will continue to get hotter with each passing day, increasing health-related risks. Heat waves can also increase our risk to wildfires and lead to water and power outages. 

  • Moisture Update - July 10, 2024

    With the recent hot weather has come very dry air and there has been little precipitation over the past week, with most areas receiving less than 10 mm of rainfall.

    Northern Lights Fiber has completed all major fiber construction in Woking and they expect to have high speed Wi-Fi up and running this month.
