Programs and Clubs

4-H programming helps gives youth and adults life-long skills, such as co-operation, leadership, interpersonal relations, critical thinking, decision making, organization, public speaking, and community service.

The East-West Woking 4H Club and Savanna 4H Multi Club are located in Saddle Hills County, and regularly participate in exciting projects throughout the area. Get in touch with them directly, by calling (780) 864-8322.

The Bay Tree Community Park Association operates the Bay Tree Community Park. The park includes camping stalls, a playground, and ball diamonds. 

The Bonanza Bowling Center runs a seasonal bowling league each year, for both 5 and 10 pin bowling, from October through to March. 

Registration and dates are advertised online, through the Bonanza Bowling Center's Facebook page. 

The Bonanza Bring It Society raises money for the Bonanza School. Their regular fundraisers help to bring in additional funds for school needs. 

The Blueberry Mountain Goodwill Society manages the Blueberry Community Hall and Munro Presbyterian Church.

The Cotillion Butte Recreation Association manages the Cotillion Hall and Cotillion Park Campground. 

They organize regular events, including the annual Music in the Park and Home Routes Concerts.

The Fourth Creek Community Association manages the Fourth Creek Hall. The hall includes a 10-stall campground with indoor washroom/shower, playground, and community garden. The Association regularly hosts community events and initiatives, such as the Community Kitchen, and is home to Savanna Creations Quilters.

Goodwill Quilters operates from the St. John's Lutheran Church of Northmark, providing quilts to community organizations and initiatives, such as FCSS, shelters, and senior's facilities. 

The Gordondale Community Club operates the Gordondale Hall, as well as managing the grounds at the local cemetery and church. 

They organize regular community events, including suppers, garage sales, and play groups, all of which are advertised in their dedicated Facebook group.

A free, drop-in playgroup is offered at the Gordondale Hall, every Thursday, from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.

The playgroup offers unstructured play for children, with snacks and beverages provided, including coffee for adults.

The Gundy Community Recreation Society manages the Gundy Hall and grounds, including baseball diamonds. 

The Horseshoe of the Peace Historical Society is based in the Savanna/Fourth Creek area and focuses on preserving the pioneer history of the region, such as with the Pioneer Memorial at the Savanna Rec. Plex. 

The Savanna School, alongside community volunteers, runs a non-competitive after-school soccer program for students in U7, U9, and U11 age groups, throughout the months of May and June, each year.

A nominal fee is required in order to participate, which includes a jersey. Sign up is advertised each year by the Savanna School.

The Savanna Creations Craft Club helps people in the community to connect and create together. The group regularly hosts quilting and craft sales at the Fourth Creek Hall, with access to a long-arm quilting machine.

The Savanna Minor Hockey Association offers local children and youth the opportunity to play competitive hockey. Practices, games, and tournaments are held at the full-size hockey arena, located at the Savanna Rec. Plex, from October through to March of each year.

The Hamlet of Woking was awarded four blooms in the 2016 'Communities in Bloom' competition, one short of the maximum possible.

The Woking Multiplex offers seasonal weekly drop-in pickleball and volleyball sessions.

A drop-in playgroup for children aged 0-6, is offered weekly at the Woking Multiplex, from September to May, each year. 

When in session, playgroup runs every Tuesday, from 9-11:30 a.m. The cost is $3 per family, per visit, or $80 for the year. A snack is provided.
