Fire Restriction in Effect
Due to the increasingly dry conditions, the FIRE ADVISORY has been upgraded to a FIRE RESTRICTION, for Saddle Hills County.
Prohibited
Open campfires in back country or random areas, fireworks and exploding targets on crown land, brush and debris burning for non-agricultural purposes, controlled burns of brush piles greater than 2 cubic meters in size
Allowed with Caution
Campfires in non-combustible, manufactured firepits, charcoal briquettes in approved barbeques, portable propane firepits, gas or propane stoves and barbeques, catalytic or infrared style heaters, wood fires in an enclosed facility or device, which has a chimney with a spark arrestor, burning barrels that are a minimum distance of 30 m away from structures and 6 m away from combustible materials.
Hand-piled agricultural brush and debris burning that is less than 2 cubic meters in size is allowed, if it is in a cultivated field or another fire guard is in place, a Fire Suppression Plan is in place, and Municipal Notification Requirements have been met
