Virtual Food Bank

Are you or someone you know struggling to put food on the table? Please don't go hungry.

The Central Peace Ministerial Association runs a Virtual Food Bank, to assist individuals and families residing in the Peace Region, including Saddle Hills County. The food bank provides food and other necessities, seeing its assistance as a short-term aid towards long-term self-sufficiency.

The food bank does not distribute cash, but does provide withdrawals in the form of gift cards to participating grocers. These cards are good for food and other household necessities, but not for tobacco, lottery tickets or cash exchanges. At present, individuals can receive one $100 gift card, for a one-month period. Families, consisting of at least one individual and one or more dependents, can receive two $100 gift cards per month.

Residents looking to access the food bank should apply directly through Central Peace Ministerial pastors or designates. Participating churches in the region include:

  • Bonanza Gospel Church
  • Bethel Gospel
  • Eaglesham Community Church
  • Grace Gospel Church of Spirit River
  • Rycroft Victory Church
  • St. John's Lutheran Church of Northmark
  • St. Joseph's Parish
  • Savanna Lighthouse Assembly
  • Silver Valley Gospel Chapel
  • Spirit of the Peace United Church
